Kyiv-Mohyla Business School (KMBS), continues to lead Ukraine’s education sector in the area of management with innovative programs. Three years ago, KMBS established a program that consolidated the study of management and strategic thinking in the security and defense areas. For Ukraine, these are areas of national existential importance.
In the current environment of radical transformation of the world’s economic, political, environmental, and social balance, this program is a major contribution to Ukraine’s nation-building. The study and analysis of strategic thinking and management of topics such as national-level policy and operations in order to anticipate and manage complexity, uncertainty, change, and surprise in the security environment are of critical importance.
The program “Strategic Studies in Security and Defense” brings individuals from Ukraine’s security and defense sectors to share a common vision of transformation, and understand their role in strengthening Ukraine’s security, and to counteract the aggressor who skillfully waged a hybrid war using military force, supported by irregular and cyber warfare tactics.
This year, 45 of Ukraine’s top leaders were among the graduates of the program. These participants have already demonstrated extraordinary skills and made significant contributions to the formation of Ukraine's integrated security. They are ready to be at the forefront of the transformation of Ukraine's national security and defense system.
Participants are from Ukraine’s National Security Council, Office of the President, Ministry of Defense, the Armed Forces, and Ministry of Defense, with support from the Embassy of Canada in Ukraine. Leading the program is the dynamic Gelena Savruk, deputy dean at Kyiv-Mohyla Business School.
