Kyiv-Mohyla Academics Honored with Prestigious Awards Congratulatilations to our Professors!

Professor Oleksiy Haran from KMA has been awarded the British Empire Medal for his contribution to the Ukrainian-British partnership. Oleksiy Haran is one of the most authoritative political scientists in Ukraine, with a doctorate in historical sciences. He has been working at KMA since its revival in 1992. He was the first Dean of the KMA Department of Social Sciences and the first Head of the KMA Political Science Department.

The British Empire Medal is an honorary award of the United Kingdom, bestowed for distinguished service in civil or military roles, worthy of recognition by the Crown.

Moreover, on May 15, Kostiantyn Sihov, Director of the KMA Center of European Humanities research, was awarded a medal for contributions to the advancement of science by the Scientific Society of the Czech Republic. Kostiantyn Sihov is the author of more than 50 scientific works dedicated to the fields of philosophy and history of culture. He has extensive experience teaching French and English at universities such as Sorbonne, Oxford, Stanford, Geneva, Leuven, and others.

He also teaches his original lecture course on "European Culture: Conflict of Interpretations" in the master's program at KMA.
