Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko attends the graduation ceremony of the Kyiv-Mohyla School of Law, and congratulates the School on its 25th anniversary.
On August 31, 2021, Kyiv’s mayor Vitaliy Klitschko attended the graduation ceremony for graduates of the Kyiv-Mohyla School of Law. In his commencement speech, Mayor Klitschko encouraged the graduates to have a dream in life, to believe in oneself, to learn and never give up on one’s dream. He emphasized that nothing is impossible, as he noted that there will be moments of challenges and tribulations in life.
This was not the first visit of the mayor to the university. The mayor has been a supporter of the university through the years. He said, "You are lucky, you entered the oldest, most authoritative university in Ukraine, a university with traditions and a glorious history. At the same time, it is one of the youngest, most innovative universities in the country.” The mayor congratulated the university as it approaches the 30th anniversary of its restoration.
Mayor Klitschko also reminded everyone that Kyiv-Mohyla students have always held and continue to hold an active position in society. He continued that young people who hold values and pro-Ukrainian positions, and a fighting spirit have studied at Kyiv-Mohyla Academy through the ages. The mayor emphasized that Kyiv-Mohyla students participated in the Orange Revolution and the Revolution of Dignity, and joined the efforts for changes, reforms, and transformations in the country. To the young attorneys he added that in the current state of building a democratic country governed by the rule of law, the legal profession is of extraordinary importance, and it is essential for the transformation of the country.
Kyiv-Mohyla School of Law Rated No.1 by Ukrainian Bar Association
Kyiv-Mohyla School of Law was rated the Best School of Law in Ukraine by the Ukrainian Bar Association (UBA). The UBA, with the support of USAID’s “Justice System Strengthening Program” and collaboration of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine, the Project “Law-Justice”, the Association of Law Clinics of Ukraine, the League of Students of the Ukrainian Bar Association, the Foundation DEJURE and Forbes Ukraine, established the first Annual Rating of Schools of Law of Ukraine.
