Support for Ukraine marked the US visit of Dr. Serhiy Kvit, president of NaUKMA.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
EDUCATION IS AN INVESTMENT IN THE FUTURE OF UKRAINE.
Dr. Serhiy Kvit, president of the National University Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, visited the United States in November to share the university’s unwavering commitment to education and the role the university plays in the defense of Ukraine during the war.
With 5000 students, the university’s responsibility for their education and welfare is even more important than ever.
Dr. Kvit visited Ukrainian communities in Washington DC, Chicago, Detroit, and New York, and held meetings at four universities: Georgetown, Northwestern, University of Michigan, and Princeton. At each university, he found support from faculty members and leading scholars, and he met with Ukrainian students and scholars, many of them from Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. Meetings also took place with key leaders at government and private organizations.
“We are thankful to everyone who took time out of their busy schedules to meet and support our university and to all donors who contribute to our work. It was a pleasure to be with so many colleagues and friends who embraced our visit and support Ukraine at this difficult time during the Russian war against Ukraine”, said Dr. Kvit at the end of his tour.
