It was the students, not the teachers or administration officials, who shared their experience of life inside the university. Kyiv-Mohyla Academy is more than classes, exams, homework and studying. Life outside the classroom contributes to learning, emotional growth, and responsibility as much as some of those more traditional activities. That is why so many people showed up to welcome the new students. Unfortunately, many lost family members in the war, lost their homes, and their parents lost their income.
The Ukrainian government is focused on the war effort which affects the national budget, resulting in serious cuts to education.
