The Russian war against Ukraine continues to result in devastation, but Ukraine’s independence will be defended and preserved. Serhiy Kvit, president of National University “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy” stated, “the situation calls for recovery assistance from the world community, but it is in Ukraine that a bold strategy of revitalization and modernization must be developed”.

That is why a university-led Policy Dialogue Platform aimed at articulating specific recovery and enhancement initiatives conducive to all aspects of nation-building is a necessity at this time. Its role is to provide an inclusive forum for sharing of expertise that will help reshape policies, the economy, and the relationship between civil society and government.

According to participants, the Russian-Ukrainian war is not only a great test for the country, but it is also a chance to make rapid, profound changes in society, - an opportunity to modernize state and public institutions, and accelerate European and Euro-Atlantic integration.

The next conference will take place in July. Proceedings will be available online.
