On May 28th, at the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy campus, there was a meeting for students, faculty, and university staff with Serhii Plokhii, a renowned American and Ukrainian historian, Director of the Ukrainian Research Institute at Harvard University, and an honorary professor at Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. The topic of the meeting was "The Russian-Ukrainian War through the Eyes of a Historian: The Collapse of an Empire." The meeting was moderated by Olga Poliukhovych, Vice President for Academic Studies.
Dr. Plokhii discussed with students new trends in historiography influenced by the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, the rethinking of his own research experience, and the responsibilities of scholars.
