Meeting with KMA Alumni in Washington D.C.
On April 27 Kyiv-Mohyla Academy’s Alumni met with the President of the Academy Serhiy Kvit in Ukraine House, in Washington DC. The event was attended by over 25 alumni of KMA now living and working in Washington D.C., including Kateryna Smagliy, First Secretary Embassy of Ukraine in the US, who delivered an opening speech.
On April 27 a meeting and reception took place at Ukraine House. The event was attended by over 25 alumni of KMA now living and working in Washington DC. First Secretary Embassy of Ukraine in the U.S. Dr. Kateryna Smagliy, also an alumna of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, opened the gathering by expressing her support for the KM Alumni Association and the role that KMA plays in Ukraine and throughout the world to support Ukraine through its many programs and graduates who have become leaders and innovators.
Dr. Sergiy Kvit presented the Academy's activities over the past year of the war, including the work of its Analytical Centers, the KMA Mental Health Center in Bucha, Kyiv-Mohyla School of Journalism, its project StopFake , and many others, as well as the projects that currently are being developed. A lively discussion took place about the priorities and the future strategy of the Academy’s development.
