The Kyiv-Mohyla Moot Court Team Awarded Second Place in Europe’s most prestigious and important Telders International Moot Court Competition. Congratulations!
Kyiv-Mohyla Moot Court Team represented Ukraine at the Telders International Law Moot Court Competition held at The Hague, The Netherlands on May 24-26.
Telders International Law Moot Court Competition is the most prestigious and important moot court competition in Europe. Annually, teams from over 40 universities compete in the national rounds, with the winning teams advancing to represent their countries in the international rounds held at Faculty Campus The Hague of Leiden University and the Peace Palace in The Hague.
Ukraine was represented by the Kyiv-Mohyla team and was awarded second place among 23 countries represented at the competition. This is an accomplishment of great significance for Ukraine and for Kyiv-Mohyla Law School. The university is proud and honored by this international recognition.
The team consisted of Mariana Antonovych, the coach, and law students Mariia Stolbova, Olia Horodniuk, and Myroslav Vovk. Ms. Antonovych is a graduate of the Kyiv-Mohyla Law School and works for the international law firm Kinstellar in Kyiv. She is a former legal affairs reporter at Kyiv Post and studied international dispute resolution at Humboldt Universitat zu Berlin. Ms. Antonovych took time from her professional and personal life to coach the team of her Alma Mater. The team members prepared for eight months, with a drive and focus that led them to first place in representing Ukraine and to second place in the most respected Moot Court Competition of Europe.
