German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier delivered a speech at Kyiv-Mohyla Academy on May 29 to 200 representatives of the faculty and student body of the university and selected guests and media representatives. President Steinmeier began his speech with these words
“I am delighted to be able to speak to you at your university today. This is my second visit since 2006. Twelve years are a short period of time in the long history of this university which, as I found out when I came here for the first time, is the oldest in Ukraine. It is therefore a place where knowledge and experience coincide and a good place to enter into dialogue with one another. That is precisely what I aim to try and do. I want to talk about the German-Ukrainian partnership and share my thoughts with you on the future of Ukraine.” For full speech click on this link.
