Spotlight on Students View Full Series
Students are at the heart of the university. That is why scholarships and grants to students are an important aspect of the education of young people. There are scholarships awarded based on merit, and other scholarships on a combination of merit and need. Kyiv-Mohyla Academy is fortunate that there are numerous individuals and companies that established annual awards for students scholarships.
One such scholarship program was established by the market research company Kantar TNS. The company’s generosity provided this year’s scholarships to Kateryna Harbar for first place, and Valeriy Myloserdov for second place, and Daryna-Maryna Patiuk for third place. We congratulate the winners and wish them success in their education and future careers. Kateryna Harbar wrote a paper titled “Characteristics of school environment that are factors of academic success of Ukrainian students”. Valeriy Myloserdov and Daryna-Maryna Patiuk were assigned a research paper on a study of the area of Podil (where the university is situated) as an environment and a factor in their studies and the neighborhood’s influence on stress and personal economic development.
