Ostap Semerak, Minister of Ecology of Ukraine, is an alumnus of Kyiv Mohyla Academy. He graduated with a degree in Physics from Lviv University, and from the National University of Kyiv Mohyla Academy in 1998 with a master degree in political science.

According to Ukraine’s Ecology and Natural Resources Minister, Ostap Semerak, development of renewable energy companies is a way for Ukraine to reach its energy independence.
“Ukraine is actively working on the development of renewable energy. The introduction of renewable energy production will provide an opportunity for our country to reach its energy independence,” Semerak said.
The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, in cooperation with the State Agency for the Management of the Exclusion Zone, initiates construction of solar power plants in the Chornobyl exclusion zone.
Many companies have interest in investing in such a construction, Ukrinform reports.
