Dr. Tetiana Yaroshenko, NaUKMA Vice-President for Research and Information and Library Director, received the “Academic Leader of Ukraine 2016 – Web of Science Award”. Clarivate Analytics, the Intellectual Property and Science business of Thomson Reuters, the world’s leader in intelligent information for businesses and professionals, announced its 2016 Citation Laureates for Ukraine. The study mines scientific research citations within the Web of Science™ — the premier global search and discovery platform for the sciences, social sciences and arts and humanities. Dr. Yaroshenko received the top award for Ukraine in the area of social science. Congratulations to Dr. Tetiana Yaroshenko for this prestigious international award!
Tetiana Yaroshenko is a graduate in Library Science from Kyiv National University of Culture (1986), and obtained her doctorate from the National Library of Ukraine (2008). She was awarded a Fulbright Fellowship at Yale University in 2004-2005, and Columbia University in 2010-2011. Dr. Yaroshenko has served as Director of the Kyiv Mohyla Academy Library System since 1995. Since then, she has built and managed a network of libraries at the universities that includes: 1.5 million collection of print and electronic editions; Tatiana Omelian Antonovych Undergraduate Library; Research Library; Art Library; Library of Philology; Library Center for Polish and European Studies; B. Kytasty American Library; Omelian Pritsak Memorial Library; James Mace Memorial Library; Library of the Pedagogical Research Center for University Preparation; ELibUkr – Electronic Library of Ukraine (Access to electronic academic data bases to a Consortium of 33 university libraries from a central server at Kyiv Mohyla Library – an initiative of Kyiv Mohyla Academy and Kyiv Mohyla Foundation of America).
As vice-president of information she is in charge of developing broader access to and use of digital and other academic information, improving and developing networks, hardware, and software at NaUKMA. She has been instrumental in promoting University Library resources and services on national and international level. Dr. Yaroshenko also serves as Head of University Libraries Section of Ukrainian Library Association, Executive Director for ELibUkr (Electronic Library of Ukraine), and President of Ukrainian Fulbright Circle.
